Director's Notes
Thank you all for your support at our Spring Concert! I am so proud of our students for all their progress over this past year. It’s hard to believe another school year has come and gone, but it has been a wonderful one and I am thankful for and appreciative of all of you!
Special thanks to our Band Board members! We so appreciate your giving of your time and talents to assist us throughout the year!
FEES DUE: We still have some Fair Share (all grades) and Uniform (7th grade) payments that have not been turned in. Emails have been sent if this applies to your student. These may be paid via cash, check (HCMS Band) or on My School Fees. Thank you for your prompt assistance with this important matter!
UNIFORMS: We have received about 80% of the concert uniforms so far. Please be sure your 7th and 8th grade students return these items promptly so we can avoid charging for them. There is a uniform rack outside the band room where they can be turned in.
SUMMER RENTALS: If you have a 6th or 7th grader who is returning to band next year and will be using a school instrument, we ask for a Summer Rental Fee of $40. It is CRUCIAL that students have access to an instrument over summer break. Otherwise, they return in August and have to start over completely - falling behind to the point where it is very difficult to catch up. This must be collected before the instrument can be reissued.
Thank you!
Emily Parker, Director of Bands
